Lonely Desert by Laurie Palmberg

This is a desert scene on a smaller canvas. I did the desert scene
before which is on my blog on a larger canvas. I had to search for
what plants are growing there. As you can imagine I haven't been
able to go to the desert for years. Trying to show some growth
yet show the patches where nothing is growing and probably won't.
A desert in bloom can be beautiful but a desert with little growth
always seems lonely to me.
Enjoy!! sold

could eliminate having to frame it.

High Desert in Bloom by Laurie Palmberg

This was a first trial at doing a desert in bloom.
I had to research the plants that are native to the
area. I painted this for my best friend's daughter.
After she received it I knew she was very happy with i.
Done on a 11 X 14 canvas.

Rim Sitter 2 by Laurie Palmberg

This is my version of Connie's rim sitter. I didn't want to make it
exactly like hers so I changed it a bit. Not having seen the grand
canyon I had to get pictures from the net. Again I thank her very
much for all her help.
This is a 11 X 14. Hope you enjoy it.

Grand Canyon - SOLD

This 11 X 14 was my first effort at doing a person even
tho it is far away. I saw this done by another artist.
Liked the painting so asked her if I could copy it.
She was so charming. Answered a lot of my questions,
gave me advice & many suggestions. I thank her very
much for being so gracious. Many artists I have come in
contact with answer questions & have been very helpful.
I think that's very unselfish. Thank all of you who have helped me.

Sea Gull by Laurie Palmberg

About 3 years ago I went back to Redondo Beach, Ca.
This has to be one of my favorite places. I used to
live there back in the 80's. I would go to the pier
to have the best crab I have ever had. You would pick
out your crab & they would cook it right there for you.
They give you newspapers to lay on the tables and a mallet.
The freshest crab you can get. That was great fun.
The sea gulls were so friendly you could walk right up to them.
I miss living there. sold

Green Water by Laurie Palmberg

When I went to the Bahama's I noticed the very clear striking green water.
It was totally different than anything I had ever seen. I am used to
the water in the Pacific ocean with it's blue color. This gave me the
change I needed & the memory of the vacation there. Being inside so
much it was a great trip down memory lane. Hope you enjoy it as much
as I did.

Wall Arch by Laurie Palmberg

This is a painting done in oil of an arch typically done out of drywall
and has statues in them. This was a very excellent way for me to learn
how to paint dimensions. I had to paint this whole thing using 2 hands
as the lines had to be so straight. This is the painting I'm most proud of.
